Bridal Shower Ideas

Posted on

So your best friend just got engaged, and appointed you as the maid of honor, congrats! This title comes with a lot of responsibility. Now you have two parties to plan, a bridal shower, and a bachelorette party. So let’s focus on the bridal shower. Coming up with different ideas is difficult, and you want to plan the perfect party that’s not your typical everyday bridal shower.garden party by Sidney Bensimon

Wine tasting can be a fun idea, and most of the guests will love it. You can either choose a winery to host it at, or have the winery come to you for a private tasting. Customizing the tastings ahead of time can be a good idea that way you can pair food with the different tastings. When it comes to decorating for the party all you need are some empty wine bottles and some flowers. All you have to do is keep it simple.

A tea party can be another fun idea. Every tea party requires a hat; your guests can either wear their own or make hats out of paper cups, ribbon, and decorative pieces. The décor should be very simple, have a mixture of old and new tea canisters to hold the flowers. When it comes to the food, keep it bite-sized.

Another idea is having a cooking demonstration. You can either have the chef come to your house or find a cooking class in your area. Every future Mrs. needs a recipe book, so have all of the guests bring their favorite recipe to get her started.

The last idea is having a garden themed bridal shower. Have the menu feature local farmers, and wineries/breweries. As a party favor you could have a make your own bouquet station, every girl loves flowers and it’s a great thing to take home.

Coming up with the idea of the bridal shower is the biggest battle. Once you have figured out the theme, everything else will fall into place. Just remember to choose something that the bride enjoy, it is still all about her!
